ALFRED, NY — The RIT (5-3-2, 2-0-0 Empire 8) men's soccer team defeated Alfred University (3-5-0, 1-2-0 Empire 8), 3-0, in Empire 8 men’s soccer action Saturday afternoon at Merrill Field.

Mark Frisicano (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) broke open the game open with two second-half scores. Both of Frisicano's goals were assisted by Jorge Ciurlizza (McLean, VA/Gonzaga) (McLean, VA/Gonzaga). Chuck Marion (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) scored the Tigers other goal.

Junior Jim Roberts played the first half in goal for Alfred and made one save. Junior Brian Middleton  played the second half and stopped three shots.

Matt Klosner (Lowville, NY/Lowville Academy) (Lowville, NY/Lowville) made two saves before leaving the game with injury at the 38:33 mark. Dan Slocum (Irondequoit, NY/Bishop Kearney) (Irondequoit, NY/Bishop Kearney) played the rest of the way and stopped four shots.
