Women's Swimming/Diving Falls to William Smith

GENEVA, NY -
The RIT Women's Swimming and Diving team was defeated by William Smith College by a score of 127.5-91.5 on Tuesday night at the Bristol Pool.

The Herons won the first four and six of the first seven events on the way to victory.

Teresa Burr (Delhi, NY/Delhi) (Delhi, NY/Delhi) continued her winning ways, earning first place in the 200-yard indivdual medley (2:22.92), and 100-yard backstroke (1:04.80). She also teamed with Stefanie Owczarczak (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca) (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca), Jamie Garver (Trenton, ME/Mt. Desert Island) (Trenton, ME/Mt. Desert Island) and Gretchen Anderson (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) to annex the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:47.89.

RIT is back in action on Wednesday, January 26th, as they host SUNY Brockport at 6 p.m. at the Judson Pool.
