Women's Soccer Falls to Buffalo State

ROCHESTER, NY -  RIT traveled to Buffalo State College on Wednesday afternoon to play the Bengals in a rain-soaked, non-conference match.  The game was tied at 2 going into the second half, but the Tigers could not get the go ahead goal, and were defeated, 4-2.

Senior Moet De La Torre (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) (Potsville, PA/Potsville) and sophmore Alaina Chorney (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) scored the goals for RIT.  De La Torre's goal came in the ninth minute, on a pass from Kate Cassim (Waterloo, NY/Waterloo) (Waterloo, NY/Waterloo), which tied the game at 1.  Chorney knotted the game at 2 right at the 42-minute mark, converting on an assist from classmate Brittany Peters (Marion, NY/Marion) (Marion, NY/Marion).

Goalkeeper Dinah Redhouse (Rochester, NY/Greece Odyssey) (Rochester, NY/Greece Odyssey) made her collegiate debut in the second half for RIT, recording two saves.  Buffalo State out-shot RIT 13-8, including 7-2 in the second half.

The Tigers (1-2-0) return to action on Saturday, as they host Clarkson at RIT Field at 2:30pm.
