BUFFALO, NY - The RIT Men's Soccer team traveled to unbeaten Buffalo State College on Tuesday afternoon and battled the Bengals to a scoreless tie.

Both teams had plenty of scoring chances, but were unable to convert.  Senior goalkeeper Nate Andrews (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) made seven saves for RIT, while Buffalo State netminder Shawn McDonell finished with 12 saves.

The first half featured plenty of action, as both teams pushed an up-tempo style of play.  Both teams combined for 23 shots in the opening 45 minutes of play.  Just 1:20 in, Dan Beca (Canandaigua, NY/Candandaigua Academy) (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) prevented a goal by blocking a Buffalo State header attempt before it crossed the goal line.  RIT came right back with a golden scoring opportunity of their own, but McDonell stopped Mark Frisicano (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia)'s (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) shot from inside the box.

Played slowed down in the second half as both teams settled into more of a defensive style of play.
