ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT women's soccer team fell to 2-3-0 on the 2004 season, after falling to visiting Hamilton College, 1-0 on Wednesday evening at RIT Field.
Taylor Brady scored the game's lone goal, on a 1-on-1 shot that was partially deflected by an RIT defender in the 30th minute for Hamilton (2-0-0). Nicole Tetreault recorded an assist on the goal.
Senior Carrie Yehle (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) (Clifton Park, NY/Shenedahowa) was excellent in net for the Tigers, stopping eight shots. Her best save came in the 41st minute when she dove to knock away a hard shot from Tetreault, preserving the 1-0 score.
Sophomore Alaina Chorney (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) had RIT's best chance to score when she came in all alone on a partial breakaway and was stopped by Hamilton's goalkeeper, Katie Plummer midway through the first half.
The Continentals out-shot RIT 20-7.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, as they take on Empire 8 rival Elmira College at 12 p.m. at RIT Field.
