Click For BoxscoreITHACA, NY -- RIT rebounded from an earlier loss with an 8-1 win over Elmira College in the second game of the 2004 Empire 8 Softball Tournament. The win advances the Tigers to the second day where they will face St. John Fisher on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
RIT was led by
Shari McNamara (Rome, NY/Rome Catholic) (Rome, NY) who went 2-4 with a run and three RBI.
Tonya Campbell (Rochester, NY/Aquinas Institute) (Rochester, NY) was 2-4 with three runs scored.
Kelly Iagulli (Eagle River, AK/Chugiak) drove in two runs.
Mary Keegan (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) (West Seneca, NY) went all seven innings, allowing just one run on six hits. She struck out five and walked two picking up her seventh win of the season.
