FT. MYERS, FL -- In their seond game of the day the RIT softball team (0-4) was defeated by Capital 8-0. The Tigers had four hits versus Capital on Monday by Elizabeth Angell (Whitefield, ME/Erskine Academy), Megan Varner, Danielle Miller and Jessica Fabin (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island).

Freshman pitcher Allie Sitton (Baltimore, MD/The Park School) got the start on the mound for RIT. She went six innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits. She did rack up seven strike outs and did not walk a batter. RIT continues play in Ft. Myers, Florida on Tuesday.
