ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's swimming/diving teams came from behind to defeat St. University on Saturday afternoon at Judson Pool. The Tigers won on the final event of the meet. The 200 freestyle relay team of
Stefanie Owczarczak (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca) (W. Seneca, NY/W. Seneca), Missy Wilbert (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island), Jamie Garver (Trenton, ME/Mt. Desert Island) (Trenton, ME/Mt. Desert Island) and
Gretchen Anderson (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) won the evnt to pull ahead of the Saints 117-110.
Freshman
Stefanie Owczarczak (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca) was one of three multi-event winners for RIT with a pair of individual wins. She won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:06.95 and took home first in the 100-yd. freestyle in a time of 57.62. Owczarczak was also on the 200 freestyle relay that won the meet for the Tigers in the final event.
Sarah Keesler (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) won a pair of individual events. She won the 200-yd. IM with a time 2:21.10 and the 100-yd. breaststroke in a time of 1:11.87.
Gretchen Anderson (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) swept both the one-meter (178.4) and three-meter (204.9) diving events to help RIT pull closer to St. Lawrence and anchored the 200 fresstyle relay team.
