FREDONIA, NY - The RIT Women's Swimming and Diving Team earned their first victory of the 2004-05 season, making a dramatic comeback to nip SUNY Fredonia 118-116 on Saturday afternoon.

Down 107-93 with just two events left, the Tigers earned 25 points to garner their win.  In the 200-meter breast stroke, Sarah Keesler (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) won her second event of the day in a time of 2:37.88.  Keesler also won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:21.89 earlier in the meet.

Down 112-105, the Tigers needed to win the 400-yard freestyle relay, and the team of Stephanie Owczarczak, Jamie Garver (Trenton, ME/Mt. Desert Island), Rachel Mee (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) and Jen Indovina (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) did just that, taking the event in a time of 3:52.69.

Also winning events for the Tigers were Brittany Kitzke (Knoxville, TN/Bearden) in the 200-yard butterfly (2:29.01) and Indovina in the 100-yard freestyle (57.49).

The women return to action on Saturday, November 6th, as they host the Don Richards Invitational at 1 p.m.
