ROCHESTER, NY -- The women's volleyball won a pair of matches against Empire 8 foes, Ithaca and Hartwick, today at Nazareth College. The wins are the Tigers fourth and fifth wins in a row and improve RIT's record to 21-11 overall and 7-1 in the Empire 8.

In match #1 RIT defeated Ithaca College 3-2 (33-31, 30-32, 30-25, 22-30, 15-12) and defeated Hartwick College 3-0 (30-13, 30-26, 30-23) in match #2.

Laurie Underhill (East Aurora, NY/Mercy Academy) (East Aurora, NY) led the Tigers with 33 kills and 17 digs on Saturday. Senior co-captain Missy Groginski (Brewertown, NY/Paul V. Moore) (Brewerton, NY) added 28 kills and 43 digs, while co-captain Sarah Ballard (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) (Lake View, NY) had 97 assists and 23 digs.
