ROCHESTER, NY- The Tigers women's soccer team defeated Roberts Wesleyan College last night, 3-1 in their last regular season match.

RIT played strong soccer in the first half, taking 14 shots and putting seven on goal. Melanie Lowe (Kingston, Jamaica/Northfield Mount Hermon) (Kingston, Jamaica/Northfield Mt. Just two minutes later, Mallory Frost (Barre, VT/Spaulding) got a great feed from Lowe, firing a shot from the top of the box. It found its way between Wesleyan keeper Christina Stephenson and the near post to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, RIT had several scoring chances, including three situations in which Frost broke free for a shot, but they were unable to add to their lead. Kristin Domdey (Chicago, IL/Morton West) (Chicago, IL/Morton West) took over in net in the second half, making five saves, including a great stop in the 65th minute. The lone goal for Roberts Wesleyan came in the 68th minute off of a direct kick from the top of the box.

The Tigers were able to hold off Roberts for the win, and improve to 11-6-0 in the regular season. Keepers Carrie Yehle (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) and Domdey split time in the net, with Yehle tallying one save and facing three shots on goal in the first half.
