ROCHESTER,N.Y.--The Tigers returned to action after a tireing weekend at the RIT Invitational. Co-captain Amy Baxter (San Antonio, Texas/Theodore Roosevelt) (San Antonio, Texas) led the Rochester Institute of Technology to a 3-0 (30-28,30-21,31-29) victory over the University of Rochester.
Freshman Chris Anabel (Apalachin, N.Y./Vestal) (Apalachin, N.Y.) joins Baxter among the ranks as a top player for the Tigers with 10 kills (.320), three service aces, and six digs. Teammate Missy Groginski (Brewerton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) (Brewerton, N.Y.) closed out the night with 10 kills, nine digs and two blocks.
The Tigers return to action Tuesday, Oct. 1 when they face cross town rival and Empire 8's 2001 champion, Nazareth.
