ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The nationally ranked Nazareth Golde Flyers defeated the Rochester Institute of Technology's women soccer team with a 8-1 score as they improved their record to 11-0-1(4-0-0).

RIT (8-4-0,2-2-0) scored on a direct kick by Brooke Thompson (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) at 61:01. But this proved to be too little to late.

Nazareth was led by Karla Caster and Randi Hughes with a pair of goals each.

The Golden Flyers pounded 19 shots at goal, while the Tigers managed to unload just two shots in the game. Yehle had 8 saves in the first half and Domdey added three in the second.

The Tigers return to action on Sunday, Oct. 12 when they visit Utica at 1pm.
