ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Rochester Institute of Technology women's tennis team claimed its eighth straight victory with a 6-3 decision against Geneseo.

The Tigers improve to 9-1 on the season and received strong efforts from Sara Kula (Davie, FL/Lafayette), Shannon Grande (Ballston Lake, N.Y./Shenendehowa), and Jennifer Hume (Mt. Juliet, TN/Father Ryan), who all captured both their singles and double matches.

RIT took a 3-0 lead into singles action, after sweeping all three double matches, needing to capture just two singles matches for the victory. Kula, Grande and Hume proved to be the keys to victory capturing their singles matches, highlighted by Grande pulling out a tough three-setter against Nicole King at No. 3 singles.
