ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Senior midfielder/forward Melanie Lowe (Kingston, Jamaica/Northfield Mount Hermon) scored the game-winning goal at the 26:32 mark of the first half to lead the Rochester Institute of Technology women's soccer team to a 1-0 shutout victory against Roberts Wesleyan College Wednesday evening.

Trisha Schepler (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) and Carmen Jimenez (Santo Domingo, D.R./Colegio Babeque Secundaria) set up Lowe's game-winning goal. The victory closes out the Tigers regular season schedule finishing the year at 10-7-0 and await their postseason chances. RIT still has a shot at making the first-ever Empire 8 postseason tournament with an Elmira loss this Saturday when they host Hartwick. If not, the Tigers will be in the NYSWCAA tournament which will take place Nov. 9-10.

Goalkeeper Carrie Yehle (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) made three saves for her third shutout of the year for the Tigers.
