Frank Cutaiar scored one of the two RIT goals in 7-2 loss at Fredonia

Five first-half Fredonia (10-6-0) goals built a huge hole for the RIT to overcome. Senior Ben Herdlein scored the first goal for the Blue Devils in the 20th minute. Fredonia scored four more markers in the final 15 minutes of the first half including three in the final 2:02 of the half. Andrew Soltiz connected for two goals, while Kyle Marvin and Brian Abrams each added one goal apiece.

RIT got on the board in the second half when Trae Lower put one past the defense. However, Marvin gave Fredonia a five-goal cushion once again with his second of the day from Herdlein. Marvin's goal was a team-best 16th of the season.

RIT bounced back with Frank Cutaiar's goal off a feed from Jeff Prescott. Garret Hauschild closed out the scoring with his third goal of the season.

RIT (7-5-3) resumes action when they travel to the first-ever postseason Empire 8 tournament which includes the top four finishers of the regular season. RIT is the second seed and will play Nazareth on Saturday with time to be determined. The two teams battled to a scoreless double-overtime tie in the regular season.
