UTICA, N.Y. - Senior midfielder Trisha Schelper (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) scored on a breakaway with 1:20 left in the match to win the game 1-0 for the RIT Tigers as the played in the rain and cold in Empire 8 action at Utica College.

The game's lone goal came on a great pass from Kristy Fortier (Woodsville, N.H./Woodsville). Schepler sneeked past the Utica defenders, and placed a beautiful shot past the sprawling Utica goalie. RIT Goalkeeper Carrie Yehle (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) played excellent in goal, on route to a four-save shutout.

The win improves the Tigers record to 9-4 overall, 3-2 in the Empire 8. The RIT Tigers will be in action on Wednesday,October 16th, as they travel to St. John Fisher to face their cross-town rivals in an Empire 8 match up at 7 p.m.
