A native of Cicero, N.Y., Kevin Collins was a five-time All-American in cross country and track. In cross country, he was 15th in 1992 and seventh in 1993. He also won two ECAC crowns and three league titles. In addition, he captured two Notre Dame invitationals. Collins also set marks for most invitational wins in a season (six) and career (14 from 1990-93). During his cross country career, RIT competed in four NCAAs, highlighted with fourth place in 1993 and seventh in 1990. In track, he earned three All-American honors with second, third and seventh places in distance events. The two-time captain set three varsity and four freshman school records. After RIT, Collins qualified for three Olympic Trials. In 1996 he was the first American finisher in the 100th Boston Marathon. In 2003 he was second in the U.S. Marathon Championship and the first American finisher in the World Cup Marathon in Paris.
