LaFave recorded the best ever individual finish for a RIT runner, ninth overall out of 256, as the women’s cross country team placed 14th at the 2011 NCAA District Championship hosted by St, Lawrence on Saturday. LaFave set a school record by completing the 6,000-meter course in 22:26.2, and automatically qualified for the NCAA Championship, which will be held on Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
