Burt tied his career high and RIT Division I single-game record with five points on two goals and three assists, lifting RIT to a wild 6-5 overtime win over St. Lawrence in front of a sellout crowd of 10,556 fans at Blue Cross Arena on Saturday night. Burt scored RIT’s first two goals, then set up Bryan Potts’ third period goal that cut the Saints lead to 5-4. With 13 seconds left in regulation, he lunged to keep a St. Lawrence clearing attempt in the zone, then fired a shot that went off the skate of Greg Noyes, right to Adam Hartley in close, who tied the game at 5 with nine seconds left in regulation. In overtime, he drew the secondary assist on Adam Mitchell’s goal just 14 seconds in.
