Vera had a solid showing at the 2011 USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championships hosted by William Smith College. The sophomore went 3-1 in singles competition, while posting a 1-1 record in doubles competition.
In singles, Vera defeated Jennifer Kraham of Hunter College 6-4, 6-0 in her first round match. She went on to beat Alyssa Tretter of Cortland State 6-2, 6-1 in the second round. She posted a three-set win in the third round 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 over Hillary Drewry of St. Lawrence. In the quarterfinals Vera was defeated by Nataly Mendoza of Skidmore 6-1, 0-6, 6-1.
In doubles, Vera along with teammate Liz Uhrinec defeated the team of Ramya Pokala and Alexandra Ziarko of NYU 8-3 in their first round match. The duo were defeated by Paige Aiello and Deborah Wu from The College of New Jersey 8-0 in the second round.
