Kunichika was named the ECAC West Tournament Most Valuable Player after scoring the game-winning goal in both the 2-0 semifinal victory over Utica on Saturday and 2-1 championship win over Plattsburgh on Sunday.  Kunichika tallied a power-play woth 2:26 left in regulation on Sunday to break a 1-1 tie and lift RIT to its first ECAC West Championship.  She has six goals over her last eight games and has 33 points (10-23-33) in 26 games this season.
