Vera advanced to the semifinals of the 2010 New York State Championships at second singles to advance to 13-3 this season. She routed Katelyn Richenburg of Brockport, 6-1, 6-0, then defeated Melanie Cohen of Ithaca, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3, before losing to Melissa Hirsch of Skidmore in the semifinals, 6-3, 7-5. Vera and Amanda Berg, seeded third, were the runners-up at first doubles. They defeated Nicole Block and Caroline Dunn-Rankin of Vassar, 8-5 in the opening round, then upeneded Zosia Casterline and Jessica Sitzer of Rensselaer, 8-4 in the quarterfinals. Berg and Vera advanced to the finals with a rivetting 9-7 win over the No. 2 team of Melissa and Christina Nunez of Ithaca. Berg and Vera's run was stopped in the championship by Hilary Drewry and Stephanie Finn of St. Lawrence, 8-3. The duo is now 15-3 this season,
