Kemp was brilliant over the weekend, helping propel RIT to the Empire 8 Tournament.  Kemp lost to Geneseo on Wednesday, but rebounded to shutout Nazareth and Stevens with consecutive one-hitters on Friday and Saturday.  Kemp threw a five-inning one-hitter with six strikeouts over five innings in an 8-0 win over Nazareth.  On Saturday, Kemp struck out 18 batters of 8 2/3 innings.  She relieved Carlissa Cole in game one and struck out seven straight batters to end the contest.  In game two, Kemp was magnificent, coming within one out of her first no-hitter.  She tied her career-high with 11 strikeouts and hit a grand slam in the 8-0 win.  Kemp is now 9-7 this season with 118 strikeouts in 99 innings.  She also leads the squad with four homers.
