Dornes hit .455 (10-for-22) with 10 RBI in seven games, while becoming RIT's all-time leader in hits as RIT opened the season in Arizona. He had a hit in six of the seven contests and reached base in all seven games. He opened the season with a pair of hits, including a triple against St. John's (MN). The following afternoon, Dornes became RIT's all-time leader in hits, picking up his 161st of his career. Dornes went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored and three RBI in a win over The College of New Jersey. He also earned his first collegiate save on the mound in that win. Dornes ended the week by going 2-for-3 with a stolen base and three RBI vs. Rockford. Dornes recorded a .552 on-base percentage and .727 slugging percentage. He now has 167 career hits.
