Morey was victorious in the weight throw with a distance of 14.83 meters and finished second in the shot put event with a distance of 10.78 meters at the 2009 Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday.  She earned All-Empire 8 first team honors in the weight throw and second team honors in the shot put.
