Perez became RIT's first automatic qualifier to the NCAA Outdoor Tournament in the last 10 years with her strong performance in the 100-meter hurdles at the New York State Championships at SUNY Brockport on Saturday. She placed second in the 100-meter hurdles in a school record and NCAA qualifying time of :14:38. She also finished second in the 200-meters in a time of :25.43.
