Johnson continued his stellar season by earning first team honors at the 2007 Empire 8 Championships held in conjunction with the Saratoga Invitational at Saratoga Spa State Park.  Johnson finished 13th overall and fifth in the Empire 8 with a time of 26:08.  Johnson suffered from an early-season bout of mononucleosis.
