Hardbarger broke a 23-year old record in the 3,000-meter run, as the RIT men's indoor track and field team had a bevy of excellent showings at the Kane Invitational hosted by Division I Cornell University on Saturday. Hardbarger was RIT's lone winner on the day, as he led from start to finish in the 3,000 meter run, winning by 12 seconds. His time of 8:31.39 erased a school record set by RIT Hall of Famer and All-American Paul Ruston, who set the mark in 1985.
