Schember, playing at fifth and sixth singles, won all four of his singles matches this week, as RIT finished second in the Empire 8 Tournament. Schember started the week with a three-set win, taking two tiebreakers to win the match over Adam Cohn of Hobart on Tuesday. He also went undefeated in the Empire 8 Championships, taking only 2 sets to beat his opponents Hartwick, Naz, and Ithaca. He also earned doubles victories over Nazareth and Hartwick with doubles partner Han Chong. He is now 12-3 this season.
