Schmidt was one of the best players on the field in this weekend's Doug May Classic at Nazareth College. He controlled the midfield in both contests, and won some key balls out of the air by using his 6-4 frame. RIT finished the week 2-1, and Schmidt was a key reason, playing all but five minutes in the three games. RIT allowed just two goals in the three wins.
