All-American Pat North advanced to the final round of the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships as the No. 1 seed falling 5-1 to Jesse Ryerson of Luther (Iowa) the No. 2 seed in the 165-pound division.

The loss was only the third of the season for North who entered the championship with a 26-2 record with his only losses against Buffalo's Tom Palladino and Brockport's Artie Wiedler who was ousted in the second round of the tournament.

North is the only RIT wrestler to finish as runner-up at the NCAA's, however RIT has four National Champions. North wraps up his season with an overall record of 29-3.
