Junior Shari McNamara of Rochester Institute of Technology was named conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive year as the Empire 8 announced its Softball All-Conference team.

McNamara posted a 17-6 record through the Empire 8 championship with a 1.16 earned run average. She yielded just 97 hits in 157 innings, striking out 146 batters while walking only 15. In Empire 8 regular season play, McNamara finished 8-3 with a 1.42 earned run average, five walks and 74 strikeouts in 69 innings.
