Sapienza batted .667 in leading the Tigers to three wins in four games. He finished 8-for-12 with three runs scored and five runs batted in. Sapienza went 3-for-3 with three runs scored in a 12-4 win over Utica. He finished 3-for-5 in a doubleheader split with Hartwick, and 5-for-7 in a sweep of the Pioneers.

Sapienza was also honored by the Empire 8 for his efforts as this weeks player of the week along with teammate Matt Knodel who was named pitcher of the week.

The Tigers now 8-6 on the season, with three consecutive wins, will resume play on Friday, April 19 as they travel to Ithaca at 2 p.m.
