The RIT Men’s Track and Field team traveled to St. Lawrence University to compete in the St. Lawrence Invitational this week. The Tigers finished fifth of eight teams at this competitive meet.

Freshman Bradford Johnson, an extremely valuable addition to the team, had a tremendous meet on Saturday. Johnson competed in the school-record setting 4x400 meter relay team(3rd; 3:30.21). Johnson’s split of the relay was the fastest of the team, at just over 50 seconds.

In addition to playing a key role on the 4x400 relay team Johnson won the triple jump with a jump of 13.22 meters (43’4.50”), his best jump in his career with RIT Track and Field. Johnson currently is the season-leader in the long jump, his secondary event.

The Tigers travel to Fredonia State to compete in the Mary Phillips Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 1.
