The RIT Women’s Basketball team was 1-2 over this weekend’s road trip, with a loss at Ithaca College and a victory at Elmira College. The Tigers are currently 2-2 in Empire 8 competition and are tied with Nazareth College for third place in the conference.

Playing an outstanding game was senior co-captain Jen Miazga (Fairview, Pa.), recording 17 points and nine rebounds and a solid seven of eight from the line.

Miazga attacked the floor to lead the Tigers into the second half, her efforts on both ends of the floor proved to be a motivating factor for RIT. Christina Ermie (Johnstown, N.Y.) had some amazing shots jolting the Soaring Eagles defense leaving them frazzled and unable set-up on the other end giving RIT the advantage.

The Tigers resume play on Tuesday at Cortland.
