The RIT men’s basketball team was 2-0 this weekend against Alfred University and St. John Fisher. Scoring 27 points in this weekend’s victories was freshman guard/forward Fran Snyder.

Against the Cardinals he scored 19 points over 20 minutes of play. Snyder was 2-of-4 shooting from behind the arc and 5-of-6 from the line. Snyder and he scored eight points on 3-of-6 shooting in 16 minutes of play in the 73-55 victory over Alfred. Snyder earned Empire Eight Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row.

RIT resumes action in the JPMorgan Chase Tournament when the number 3 ranked Tigers face number 6 ranked SUNY Brockport at 8:15 p.m. at Brockport on Wednesday.
