Kula had an incredible weekend when she won both her no. 2 singles matches against Cortland State and Nazareth. Just after her 6-1/6-0 singles victory against Cortland's Gaby Somma, Kula, paired with Shannon Grande won their no. 1 doubles match 9-7. Against Nazareth, Kula won her no. 2 singles match 6-1/6-0. She then lost her no. 1 doubles match 8-5.
In her matches against Cortland State, "Sara played exceptionally well to win her doubles and then went on with a keen desire to stay ahead of her singles match never letting her opponent get into the match and was patient taking advantage of her openings when she could" noted coach Ann Nealon.
The Tigers return to action at St. John Fisher on Thursday at 3:30 in Empire 8 competition.
