Funicelli swept the shot put (15.59m/51' 1.75"), discus (48.89m/160' 4") and the hammer (53.79m/176' 5") during Saturday's RIT Invitational. He also won the hammer (55.29m/181' 4") and finished third in both the shot put (15.48m/50' 9.5") and discus (46.17m/151' 5") competing in a field that included DI competitors at Monday's Geneseo Early Season Invitational. Funicelli leads the Liberty League in all three events this spring while ranking 15th nationally in both the discus and hammer and 20th in the shot put. He broke a 40 year-old program shot put record on Monday before bettering it by nearly five inches on Saturday.
