Lupisella went 4-0 at 174 lbs. at the Ithaca Invitational for his first individual championship, scoring at least 10 points in all four matches. He knocked off Daniel Curran of Norwich University, 12-8 in the final after earning an 11-5 win in the opener, 15-5 win over Isaiah Mayes of Ithaca in the quarterfinals and 10-5 win over Michael Gargano of Johnson & Wales in the semis.
