Winters went 4-1 on the weekend at the Citrus Invitational in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., finishing third at 157 lbs. to improve to 23-5 in 2017-18. He went 2-0 on Friday, opening the day with a pin in just 1:41 over Josh Verbeten of Augsburg before shutting out Nic Jarvis of CoCo, Winters lost to Ryan Epps of Augsburg in the semifinals before winning his two consolation matches to place third overall. He defeated Tyler Makosky of UNC-Pembroke, 3-0 and Raymond Jazikoff of New York University, 7-2 in the third place match.
