Short earned his first collegiate shutout, stopping all 28 shots he faced in RIT's 4-0 win at No. 9 Providence Saturday night. He made 11 saves in the first period, seven in period two and 10 in the final period, including one from point-blank range on leading scorer Erik Foley with 21 seconds left to preserve the shutout. He is now 2-2-0 this season with a 2.72 goals against average and a .911 save percentage.
