Zeglen hit .727 (8-for-11) with an .824 on-base percentage (14-for-17), five runs scored, four walks, a double, triple, home run, and eight RBIs, while slugging 1.273 as RIT went 5-1 on the week and clinched its first Liberty League regular season championship. On Wednesday, Zeglen began the week by reaching base four times, going 2-for-2 with a homer, two walks, two runs scored, and two RBIs in a 7-6 win over Brockport. In game one Saturday, Zeglen was 2-for-2 with a triple and four RBIs in a 9-2 win over St. Lawrence. He was 2-for-3 with an RBI in a 3-0 win in game two. On Sunday, Zeglen was 2-for-3 with a run scored and RBI in an 8-0 victory in game one over St. Lawrence. Zeglen is second on the Tigers with a .365 batting average, two homers and 26 RBIs. In addition, he fired a four-hit, 102-pitch nine-inning masterpiece on the mound Sunday in game two, a 5-0 win over St. Lawrence, for his first collegiate shutout. Zeglen allowed just one walk and struck out five batters in improving to 5-0 this season, as he has now won his last five starts, all in Liberty League play.
