Frey, stroke seat and co-captain, was instrumental in leading the Tigers varsity eight to their first win over Ithaca at Ithaca since 2007 on Saturday at the Cayuga Inlet. Facing difficult conditions of 15-20 mile per hour head winds and whitecaps over the second 1,000 meters, Frey and the Tigers surged ahead of Ithaca in the sprint to top the Bombers by two seconds (6:57.1).
