Valentine struck out a career-high 13 batters, while allowing just three hits and one walk in a 104-pitch masterpiece in a 5-0 shutout win over Keuka in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Thursday. She did not allow a hit until the top of the fifth inning, then allowed two infield singles after that. Valentine lowered her 2017 earned run average to 2.10, improved to 4-1, and now has 39 strikeouts in 36 2/3 innings.
