Rotolo returned to the starting lineup after missing the last 16 games due to injury and stopped 52 of 54 shots (1.00 goals against average and a .963 save percentage) as fifth-seeded RIT skated to a weekend sweep at No. 4 seed Mercyhurst in the Atlantic Hockey Quarterfinal series. On Friday, Rotolo made his first appearance since Jan. 3 and stopped 21 of 22 shots in a 2-1 victory. Saturday, Rotolo was even better, making 31 saves on 32 shots, holding a shutout into the final three minutes, as RIT earned the series sweep with a 4-1 win. Rotolo is 6-7-2 with a 2.75 goals against average and a .904 save percentage.
