Paton recorded the hat-trick and added an assist in RIT's 9-0 win over Ottawa to open the 2015-16 season in an exhibition contest on Friday. Paton scored her first goal to make it 3-0 early in the second period. Early in the third period, she tipped home a point shot on a power-play make it 5-0 and notched the hat-trick moments later for RIT's seventh goal.
