Szybist was named MVP of the RIT Invitational for the third straight season, recording 61 kills (4.5/set) while hitting .252 with 37 digs (2.6/set) in a 3-1 weekend for the Tigers. Szybist hit .571 with 10 kills in two sets in a three-set win over Alfred and added 18 kills and 13 digs in a four-set win over St. John Fisher. She added 33 kills and 19 digs on Saturday. Szybist is averaging 4.37 kills and 5.0 points per set this season.
