Mayville earned All-American status at the 2015 NCAA Division III Wrestling Tournament, finishing third nationally at 149 lbs. It is his first All-American honor.

Mayville, the No. 7 seed at 149 lbs., rolled to a 13-3 win over Jake Kostik of the University of Concordia-Moorhead in his first round match. Just 28 seconds in, Mayville earned a takedown and later in the period, secured a three-point nearfall, just missing ending the match. He led 5-1 after the first period, 7-2 after two periods, and poured it on in the third with another takedown and nearfall, while gaining a point for riding time. In the quarterfinals, Mayville put up a valiant effort agianst No. 2 seed Derek Arnold of Ursinus, but fell by a score of 10-6 to enter the wrestleback round. In his first consolation match of the night, Mayville ensured no worse than an eighth place finish by defeating Trevor Engle of Cornell College, 7-4.

On Saturday, Mayville won all three of his matches to secure third place nationally, highest finish by a RIT wrestler since Mike McInally garnered runner-up honors in 2011. He opened the day by pinning Will Keeter of Augsburg in 4:53. Next was a match against top-seed Dan Mirman of John Carroll. Mayville opened up a big lead in the first period and hung on for a tremendous 8-4 win. In the third place match, Mayville finished his collegiate career in style, exacting revenge on Arnold, pinning him with 1:03 left in the match.

Mayville finished 33-6 on the season, winning 33 matches for the third straight year. He finishes his RIT career with a spectacular 99-28 record in three seasons with the Tigers.
