Giannino became the first RIT runner since Jesse Williamson in 2006 to earn All-American honors at the 2014 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship, held at the King's Island Golf Center hosted by Wilmington College in Mason, Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 22. Giannino finished 35th out of 280 runners over the 8,000-meter course. Giannino completed the 8,000-meter course in a personal best 24:36.8, nearly 14 seconds faster then he has ever run over that distance. He enjoyed a mile rate of 4:57.1 in securing his first cross country All-American honor. Giannino earned an All-American honor with RIT's indoor track and field medley relay team in 2013
